Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam commonly known as VITEEE is conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology. VITEEE is an entrance exam for admission to bachelor engineering courses in Vellore Institute of Technology. Vellore Institute of Technology is one of the best institutes in the country for technical education.
Vellore Institute of Technology is regarded as one of the best institutions in India because it provides the best of facilities, highly qualified faculty, state of the art infrastructure and very good opportunities for placements. Candidates who are Resident Indian or Non Resident Indian whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1988 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2010. They should have studied in regular, full time formal education in their schooling.
Eligibility Criteria :
(a) Candidates who passed 12th class examination with minimum aggregate of 60%(general) and minimum aggregate of 50%(SC/ST)
(b) To apply for VIT entrance exam in 2011 candidates born after or on 1st July 1989 are eligible.
Examination Pattern :
(a) VITEEE is one of the toughest and very scientifically oriented examinations in India.
(b) The duration of this exam is two and half an hours.
(c) The question paper of this exam consists of 150 objectives; these questions are from 12th class syllabus of chemistry, Physics and Biology or Math. Candidates can appear mathematics, biology, or both.
(d) There is no negative marking.
