All India Pre Medical Test

AIPMT - All India Pre Medical Test

The All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) is a yearly college entrance examination in India. The exam is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi for admission to MBBSand BDS courses in several medical colleges around the country.

The All-India standardised test was revolutionary in its concept as its primary aim was to enable equitable availability of medical education to all regions of the country and to foster inter-regional exchange.

Till recently an additional uniqueness was that it was one of the few all India competitive examinations (along with the examinations for defence services) that was completely merit based and without any reservations. However, in 2006, under pressure from the Arjun Singh headed Human Resources ministry, reservation for SC,ST and OBC has been undertaken in AIPMT.

The pattern of AIPMT is being changed with effect from 2010.Due to complaints about the unreliability of the subjective mains, the mains are to be made completely objective like the prelims.More difficult and application-level questions can be expected. OBC reservation is being implemented as per the questionable directives of the government, but only in central institutes (i.e. not in most of the colleges covered under AIPMT).

The Medical Council of India was first established in 1934 under the Indian Medical Council Act of 1933. The Council was later reconstituted under the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.The below article gives authority to MCI to recognize and derecognize degrees from recognized colleges at will leading to disruption in the lives of previous graduates.

The main functions of the Medical Council of India are the following:
  • Recognition of medical qualifications granted by medical institutions of India.
  • Recognition of foreign medical qualifications in India.
  • Accreditation of medical colleges (medical schools).
  • Maintenance of uniform standards for undergraduate medical education.
  • Regulation of postgraduate medical education in medical colleges accredited by it. (The National Board of Examinations is another statutory body for postgraduate medical education in India).
  • Registration of doctors with recognised medical qualifications. (Registration of doctors and their qualifications is usually done by state medical councils).
  • Keeping a directory of all registered doctors, called the Indian Medical Register.

FIITJEE - Education with Values

FIITJEE was created in 1992 by the vision and toil of Mr. D. K. Goel, a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from IIT Delhi. We had a very humble beginning as a forum for IIT-JEE, with a vision to provide an ideal launch pad for serious JEE aspirants. Onto the way to realization of this vision, we somewhere went beyond just coaching for IIT-JEE. We actually started to make a difference in the way students think and approach problems. We started to develop ways to enhance students’ IQ. We started to leave an indelible mark on the students who have undergone FIITJEE training. We started changing lives. And all this was not a sheer coincidence. It was the urge, the compelling desire, to always aspire for perfection and in the process, continuously keep on setting newer benchmarks of excellence, which enabled us and our students to achieve what we have achieved. Today, aiming for the unachievable and continuously raising the bar has become a part of the FIITJEE DNA.

The success of our students was inspiring and so was their faith in FIITJEE. It was this faith that was a catalyst for our venturing into areas beyond IIT-JEE. It was this faith that prompted us to embark on a mission to provide wholesome school education to students through FIITJEE Integrated School Programs like Supreme and Pinnacle, in a way so that there was no need for any type of coaching outside of the school system. In addition to the launch of FIITJEE Junior Colleges in Hyderabad, many like-minded schools across the country joined hands with us in this student centric endeavor to create Ideal School Education platform for students to get admission in IITs & US Universities without stress & tension along with huge success in Olympiads, SAT-I & SAT-II. And it was this faith only that again enabled us to create landmark success in NTSE.

And it is this very faith that has again inspired us to provide a platform for students aspiring for admission to US Universities in form of USA UnivQuest - a comprehensive program taking care of all aspects of the preparation – in the same old, trusted FIITJEE way. Launch of FIITJEE World Schools at Hyderabad is a concentrated effort in that direction, where students will be trained for the best in the world through methodologies and practices that are truly world class. Students in other select cities will also have an opportunity for preparing for admission to US Universities through USA UnivQuest School Integrated Programs to be run in collaboration with our select associate schools.

This journey from just an IIT-JEE coaching institute, to the most powerful brand in serious education has been exhilarating. However, the journey is not over yet. For us at FIITJEE, The journey will never be over... For us, this journey itself is the destination.

Chairmen

Every moment in life is a fresh beginning. That brings with it the boundless joy of new possibilities. And the pleasure is compounded when you know, you are about to realize a lofty goal.

Since the time we began in 1992, we have constantly strived for excellence. Like for the many young minds we have shaped, it's the winning spirit that has been of essence. Even quintessential, if you look at it from our perspective. And winning is possible only when one has the power to perceive the need of the hour.

FIITJEE has always been innovating to create excellence. I am sure the varied services that this web-site offers our existing and aspiring students will be a great boon to students.

Today FIITJEE, the first 'corporatized' institute for IIT-JEE and Engineering Entrance Exams training, enjoys a track record of unparalleled results.

Needless to say, the endeavor to nurture and even further enrich the quality of education will be our constant feature. As for the rest, there will always be changes. Undoubtedly, for the better.

Wishing you the very best.
