Lakshmi Narain College of Technology, Bhopal, (formerly LNCT), is one of the first private engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh. The governments of India and Madhya Pradesh jointly sponsored the then LNCT (a private engineering college) in 1994 to attract bright young students from across the country. It was founded by the Kalchuri Educational Trust, Bhopal. The institute is successfully meeting the objective of producing skilled manpower of the highest quality who is able to cope up with challenges of ever evolving industrial needs of the country.  

The college is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi Technical College of Technology & Science (LNCTS) was established as the constituent college of LNCT.

Lakshmi Narain College Of Technology (LNCT), a premier institute of the region was founded in 1994 by "H.K. Kalchuri Education Trust, Bhopal" and all the courses of the institute are approved by AICTE government of India.

The college is one of the first institutes of M.P. to be accredited by NBA today. LNCT is the only institute in self financing sector to get accredited for 5 years. In 2007, the Lakshmi Narain College of Technology & Science (LNCTS) was established as the constituent college of LNCT.
