PTET 2011


Pre Teachers Entrance Test
PTET 2010 Entrance Exam Result has announced and available on its official website, candidates able to get their PTET 2011 Result from official website of Pre Teacher Education Test (PTET).

Pre Teacher Education Test (PTET) is conduct by Jai Narain Vyas University Jodpur (JNVU). Candidates just have to fill their Roll number & Security text which is given there to get PTET 2010 Result.

To qualify the PTET the candidates shall require to secure at least 40% marks in the test. There is no provision of grace marks. Moreover, his/her name should figure in the merit list, within the total number of seats available in different categories. Merely securing 40% marks will not confirm the admission in B.Ed. Course.

The PTET Examination will consist of one question paper containing following Four Sections:


Sections:
  • Mental Ability
  • Teaching Attitude & Aptitude Test
  • General Awareness, and
  • Language Proficiency (Hindi or English)


Section A:
Mental ability Section shall consist of 50 objective type multiple choice questions to test the following abilities:
  • Reasoning,
  • Imagination,
  • Judgements Decision Making,
  • CreativeThinking,
  • Generalization,
  • Drawing Inferences, etc.


Section B :
Teaching Attitude and Aptitude test Section shall consist of 50 questions mainly on the following areas:
  • Social Maturity,
  • Leadership,
  • Professional Commitment,
  • Interpersonal Relations,
  • Communication,
  • Awareness etc.       This will be test of attitudes and awareness in which answers to question will be scoredon a scale of 3,2,0 and -1.


Section C:
General awareness Section shall consist of 50 Objective type multiplechoice questions mainly regarding thefdlowing areas:
  • Current affair (National & International),
  • Indian History & Culture,
  • India and its natural resources,
  • Great Indian personalities (Past and Present),
  • Environmental awareness,
  • Knowledgeabout Rajasthan etc.


Section D:
Language Proficiency (English or Hindi) Section shall consists of 50 Objective type multiple choice questions regarding proficiency in Hindi or English Language mainly related to the following aspects:
  • Vocabulary,
  • Functional Grammar,
  • Sentence structures,
  • Comprehension etc.


PTET Reservation
Out of the total number of seats available in each Faculty (Arts, Science and Commerce), reservation for Rajasthan
domiciles will be made as given hereunder:-
  • For candidates belonging to Schedule Castes: 16%
  • For candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes: 12%
  • For candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes: 21%
  • For women (out of which 8% seats are reserved for widow and 2% for divorced women): 20%
  • For physically handicapped: 03%
  • For an in-service or an Ex-serviceman defence personnel or for his/her ward: 05%


PTET 2011 Result

The Result will be made available on the website www.ptetjnvu.org. As far as possible it will also be declared in
leading news papers of Rajasthan. The mark sheet of the PTET will be sent by post on the addresses given by the
candidates at the spaces provided in the OMR admission application form for the purpose.
